52% of Enterprises Have Deployed AI Agents, Google Cloud Study Finds
A new survey reveals rapid adoption of agentic AI, with a cohort of early adopters reporting significantly higher return on investment from the technology.

A new study released by Google Cloud on September 4, 2025, reveals that enterprise adoption of autonomous AI agents is proceeding rapidly. According to the survey of executives, 52% of their organizations have already deployed AI agents. Of those, 39% report that their company has launched more than ten distinct agents.
The findings suggest that the market is moving beyond basic generative AI chatbots and toward more sophisticated, autonomous systems that can perform multi-step tasks. The top drivers of generative AI value identified in the study were productivity, customer experience, and business growth.
