Artificial intelligence has become a near-universal part of the software developer's toolkit, according to Google's 2025 DORA report, "State of AI-assisted Software Development," released on September 23, 2025. The report, which surveyed nearly 5,000 technology professionals, found that 90% of developers now use AI in their daily work, a 14% increase from the previous year.
