Researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University announced a new AI method designed to make skin cancer detection more accurate and equitable. The tool, called MST-AI, was developed to address a known bias in existing AI models, which are often less effective at diagnosing melanoma in individuals with dark skin.
