At its re:Invent conference on Tuesday, AWS expanded its proprietary foundation model lineup with the launch of the Amazon Nova 2 family. The release targets enterprise customers who require specific performance-to-cost ratios rather than a single, all-encompassing model. The lineup includes Nova 2 Lite for high-volume transactional tasks, Nova 2 Pro for complex reasoning and coding, and Nova 2 Omni, a natively multimodal model capable of processing audio, video, and text simultaneously.
