Amazon on Sep 30, 2025, unveiled four new Echo devices that are purpose-built for its generative AI assistant, Alexa+. The new devices include the Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11. According to a company press release, each device features custom-designed silicon with a new AI Accelerator to enable more powerful on-device processing.
The integration of custom hardware allows for new features with lower latency and enhanced privacy, as more tasks can be handled locally without sending data to the cloud.
