Chipmaker AMD and artificial intelligence leader OpenAI on Oct. 6, 2025, announced a multi-year partnership for AMD to supply AI chips for OpenAI's massive infrastructure build-out. The agreement provides a major vote of confidence in AMD's technology from the industry's most prominent model developer and sent the chipmaker's stock soaring nearly 24%.
