A Multi-Billion Dollar Compute Expansion
Anthropic announced a major expansion of its partnership with Google. The AI research company will gain access to as many as one million of Google's custom-designed Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) AI chips. The deal is valued at "tens of billions of dollars," according to Anthropic.
The agreement will provide Anthropic with over one gigawatt of computing capacity, which is scheduled to come online in 2026.
