Cisco Expands Secure AI Factory for Agentic AI Workloads
The new architecture, developed with NVIDIA and VAST Data, is designed to accelerate RAG pipelines and reduce data retrieval latency to seconds.
Re-architecting for Autonomous Systems
Cisco, in partnership with NVIDIA and VAST Data, announced an expansion of its "Secure AI Factory" architecture on September 4, 2025. The new validated solution is specifically designed to address a key technical challenge for agentic AI: providing fast and secure access to large volumes of proprietary enterprise data.
The architecture is built to accelerate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. RAG is a technique that allows AI models to pull in real-time information from external data sources, a critical capability for autonomous agents that need to perform tasks based on up-to-date business information.
