Databricks announced its AI Accelerator Program on September 18, 2025, an initiative designed to support pre-seed and seed-stage startups building the next generation of AI agents. The program, powered by the company's venture arm, Databricks Ventures, aims to foster an ecosystem of companies building on the Databricks platform.
## Fostering the Agentic Ecosystem
The accelerator is focused on startups creating transformative applications and agents for enterprise use cases. "Our inaugural cohort is harnessing the power of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to build agents that transform how businesses operate," said Andrew Ferguson, VP of Databricks Ventures, in a statement.
