Strong Earnings Growth
Google's cloud division reported strong financial results, with CEO Sundar Pichai attributing the performance to accelerating growth from the company's enterprise AI portfolio. Pichai noted "substantial demand" for Google's AI infrastructure products during an earnings call. To meet this demand, the company increased its projected capital expenditures for the year to $93 billion, up from $75 billion at the start of the year, with the majority invested in servers and data centers.
