IBM and AI infrastructure company Groq announced a strategic partnership designed to accelerate the performance of enterprise AI applications. The collaboration will integrate Groq's Language Processing Unit (LPU) inference technology with IBM's watsonx Orchestrate, a platform for building and managing autonomous AI agents.
Groq's custom hardware is engineered specifically for AI inference, delivering faster and more cost-efficient performance than traditional GPUs. According to the joint statement, the partnership will provide IBM clients with access to this high-speed inference capability via GroqCloud.
