Intel Announces Major Executive Reorganization to Strengthen AI Focus
The chipmaker appointed new leaders for its Data Center and Client Computing groups, as a long-time executive departs.
Key Leadership Appointments
Intel Corporation announced a series of senior leadership appointments on September 8, 2025, in a move the company said is intended to strengthen its core product business and foundry services. The changes come as the legacy chipmaker faces intense competition in an AI-dominated market.
Kevork Kechichian was appointed to lead Intel's Data Center Group. Kechichian previously served as executive vice president of engineering at Arm. Jim Johnson was officially named head of the Client Computing Group after serving in an interim capacity. Both will report directly to Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan.
