Travel search engine Kayak launched "AI Mode", integrating a conversational AI chatbot directly into its main U.S. website. The feature, powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT technology, allows travelers to research, plan, and book trips using natural-language questions instead of structured search fields.
The tool is available on both desktop and mobile web versions of Kayak.com. Users can ask open-ended questions to compare flights, hotels, and rental cars, such as "NYC hotels within a half mile of Rockefeller Center for one night, Dec. 23rd" or "Where should I go for a fun New Year's Eve celebration?"
