Microsoft announced an expansion of its Dragon Copilot clinical assistant, introducing the first commercially available "ambient experience" designed specifically for nursing workflows. The system can listen to nurse-patient interactions and automatically transform them into flowsheet documentation, reducing the administrative burden on nursing staff.
"Microsoft continues to advance Dragon Copilot as a leading enterprisewide AI clinical assistant for healthcare provider organizations," said Mary Varghese Presti, an executive at Microsoft Health. The new capabilities are designed to improve the patient journey and reduce workflow burdens across care teams.
