The collaboration will combine Google Cloud's AI technology, including its Gemini models, with NTT DATA's implementation services. The firms plan to develop industry-specific AI solutions for sectors including banking, manufacturing, and healthcare.
As one example, NTT DATA's Virtual Travel Concierge, which uses Gemini's capabilities, already handles over 3 million conversations per month. The tool provides multilingual support and real-time itinerary planning for the hospitality industry.
