Nvidia and RIKEN to Deploy Quantum-AI Supercomputers in Japan

Nvidia announced a major infrastructure partnership with RIKEN, Japan's flagship national research institute. The collaboration will deploy two new supercomputers powered by the NVIDIA GB200 NVL4 platform, designed to accelerate "AI for Science" and quantum computing research.
The deployment includes a total of 2,140 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, marking a significant expansion of Japan's domestic computing capacity. The systems are expected to be operational by spring 2026.
