OpenAI and SoftBank Launch 'SB OAI Japan' Joint Venture

The SoftBank Group and OpenAI announced the launch of their new joint venture, "SB OAI Japan GK". The new company was formed to "transform the corporate management and operational practices of Japan's enterprises," the companies said in a joint statement.
The venture will be the exclusive marketer of OpenAI's enterprise solutions in Japan. This move comes just one day after a separate partnership between OpenAI and Amazon for $38 billion in cloud compute capacity was reported, signaling a rapid, multi-front global expansion.
