Social media platform Reddit filed a major lawsuit against artificial intelligence company Perplexity AI, alleging an "industrial-scale, unlawful" effort to scrape user comments to train its AI models. The suit, filed in a New York federal court, marks a significant escalation in the legal battles over the data used to power generative AI systems.
