The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) on Sep 26, 2025, announced it had awarded a contract to Elon Musk's xAI to provide its Grok AI models to federal agencies. The 18-month agreement is part of the GSA's "OneGov" procurement strategy. It makes the Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast models available to all federal organizations for a nominal cost of $0.42 per organization until March 2027.

The deal is the longest-duration AI contract awarded under the OneGov initiative. It positions xAI as a key supplier to the U.S. government alongside established providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
